Gilbert de Turberville (also Gilbert I de Turberville ) († between 1166 and 1183) was an Anglo-Norman nobleman.

Gilbert de Turberville came from the Anglo-Norman family Turberville . He was the eldest son of Payn I de Turberville and his wife Sibyl de Londres . After his father's death, he inherited his reign Coety in western Glamorgan in the Welsh Marches , while his younger brother Simon received his mother's inheritance in Glamorgan. Both brothers were among the most important vassals of Earl Robert of Gloucester , Lord of Glamorgan , during the anarchy until after 1148 . Before 1166 Gilbert inherited from his younger brother Simon his property at Ogmore . He made donations to Ewenny Priory , confirmed by Maurice de Londres before 1148 , and to Neath Abbey .

Turberville married an Agnes whose origin is unknown. He was buried in Ewenny Priory. His heir became his son Payn II de Turberville .
