Gilda Mirós

Gilda Mirós (born September 20, 1938 in San Juan , Puerto Rico) is an American actress, radio and television producer and author of Puerto Rican origin.

Life

Mirós worked for various radio and television broadcasters in the New York region, including WADO-AM and WJIT-AM in New York City, WXTV-TV , Channel 41 ( Univision ), WNJU-TV and Channel 47 ( Telemundo ). During her work at Spanish Broadcasting System of WQBA-AM Miami , she hosted the first daily Life show, which was transmitted simultaneously in New York and Los Angeles.

Mirós worked as a theater and film actress in the USA, Mexico and Puerto Rico. For radio she produced and commented on the documentaries Viet Nam War / Hispanics in NYC Prisons and March of Dimes / The Eye Bank of NYC , for All Access Kabel TV Latin Icons Past & Present . She has also written several books and audio books, including works on Latin American culture.
