The Gillender Building was built in 1896 and opened a year later. It was demolished in 1910 in favor of the larger Bankers Trust Building . The Gillender Building was 83 meters high and had 20 floors. It had a footprint of 22.3 × 7.9 meters and stood at the intersection of Wall Street and Nassaustreet.
