Ginbande was an experimental designer group founded in 1985 by Uwe Fischer (* 1958) and Achim Heine (* 1955) in Frankfurt am Main .

Your partly conceptual work such as B. the so-called table-bench combination "Tabula Rasa" (1987 for Vitra) attracted international attention. With their "subtle" designs (according to the German Design Lexicon ), they provided ideas for the so-called New German Design .

The design duo "grew apart" in the early 1990s. Today the two concept designers work as professors in Berlin and Stuttgart.
