Gintaras Vaičekauskas

Gintaras Vaičekauskas (* 1962 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian liberal politician .

Life

After graduating from high school from 1979 to 1980 at the 18th Klaipėda Middle School , Gintaras Vaičekauskas served in the Soviet Army in Afghanistan until 1982 and until 1984 he worked in the " Rytas " printing company in Klaipėda. 1984–1988 he completed his diploma studies at the Lietuvos kūno kultūros institutas in Kaunas and became a sailing trainer and sports teacher. 1990–1999 Gintaras Vaičekauskas was a journalist for the daily newspaper “ Vakarų ekspresas ” and from 2000 he worked for UAB “ Balticum TV ”. Since 2016 he has been a member of the Seimas in the LRLS group.

Gintaras Vaičekauskas is married to the political scientist Giedrė Vaičekauskienė. They have a daughter and a son.
