Gintautas Jurgis Plungė
Gintautas Jurgis Plungė (born January 22, 1938 in Utena ) is a Lithuanian chess trainer and referee .
Life
After the Second World War, his family lived in Panevėžys . After graduating from high school, he graduated in economics from Vilnius University and then worked as an economist . From 1969 he was a chess trainer at the Panevėžys sports school. From 1981 to 1986 he worked as the head coach of the youth team. For a year he worked as head coach at the sports center for schoolchildren and students. From 1994 he worked as a trainer in the "Dubysa" sports school Šiauliai . He trained the grandmaster Viktorija Čmilytė and the Lithuanian youth champions such as Tauras Narmontas, Evelina Šaulytė and Gabrielė Šaulytė.
Since 1994 he has held the title of International Arbiter. In 1995 he became Honored Coach of Lithuania.
