Gintautas Kniukšta

Gintautas Kniukšta (born October 25, 1960 in Rudaičiai , Klaipėda Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician and journalist .

Life

In 1975 he graduated from the Lapiai School near Klaipėda , in 1979 as an agronomist from the Agricultural Technical Center in Rietavas , in 1985 the diploma course in biology at the Vilniaus valstybinis pedagoginis institutas , in 2003 the master’s degree in law at the Lietuvos teisės universitetas . At the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija he studied agronomy . He continued his education in the USA. From 1979 he worked as an agronomist, in the daily newspaper "Tiesa" (Lithuanian Prawda ), at Lietuvos laisvosios rinkos institutas , at the newspaper " Ūkininko patarėjas " as a correspondent in Vilnius and at the newspaper "Klaipėda" as a political journalist. From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas .

From 1998 he was a member of the Naujoji sąjunga .

In 2002 he was awarded the Atminimo symbol by Valdas Adamkus .
