Giorgos Manolakis
Giorgos Manolakis ( Greek Γιώργος Μανωλάκης ; * 1982 in Heraklion ) is a Greek laouto and bouzouki player.
From the age of eight, Manolakis was taught the Greek lute Laouto by his father Kostas Manolakis . At the age of fourteen he took bouzouki lessons from well-known masters of the instrument. He has worked with musicians and composers such as Ross Daly , Hainides , Naseer Shamma , Andonis Xylouris , Sokratis Malamas and Zohar Fresco . He also led his own groups, including Couleur Locale , with which his first album of the same name was created. Other albums were To Spathi , Ditto and Oi Kokkines Plakes .
