Giorgos Toussas
Giorgos Toussas ( Greek Γιώργος Τούσσας , born September 8, 1954 in Kilada ) is a Greek politician and member of the European Parliament for the Communist Party of Greece , which belongs to the group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left .
Toussas is a qualified marine engineer. He worked as an engineer in the merchant marine and is chairman of the All-Greek Association of Naval Engineers and member of the board of the All-Greek Seafarers' Association.
Toussas is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece.
EU parliamentarians
Toussas is a member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2014. He has joined the Confederal Group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left, of which he is a board member.
He is a member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism , the delegation to the EU-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee and the Delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council. He is a deputy in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs , in the delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly and in the delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean.
