Giovanni Magnani
Giovanni Magnani was a Romanian-Italian entrepreneur who assembled, sold and manufactured bicycles in Bucharest at the beginning of the 20th century under the Moto-Rêve brand in Romania . Magnani was also a well-known propeller and gear manufacturer for aircraft construction in Romania.
In 1911, the first wooden propellers made by Magnani for the Vlaicu aircraft became known. Before working with Aurel Vlaicu , Giovanni Magnani had already tried his own swing-wing aircraft in 1909 , but it was never used. After Aurel Vlaicu's death in 1913, Giovanni Magnani finished the A Vlaicu III model , which Aurel Vlaicu could not finish due to its crash. The A Vlaicu III had its maiden flight in May 1914. The pilot was Petre Macavei .
