Stephan Bohm
Stephan Böhm (born June 16, 1950 in Cologne ) is a German architect . He is the first born son of the architect Gottfried Böhm .
Professional career
He continued his studies at the University of Stuttgart from 1970 to 1973 at the Technical University of Munich . From 1978 to 1988 he worked in the offices of Oswald Mathias Ungers , Joachim Schürmann , Rob Krier and Gottfried Böhm. He became a partner in the Böhm office in 1989 and was able to realize projects in collaboration with Gottfried and Peter Böhm from 1990 onwards that attracted public interest. During this time, among other things, the headquarters of the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam was built.
In 2000 he was appointed professor for design theory at the Münster University of Applied Sciences. He has lectured at the University of Pennsylvania , Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Washington University in St. Louis . The Böhm brothers went their separate ways from 2001. Stephan first founded the Böhm Flohre Mocanu (BFM) architects partnership and in 2005 Stephan Böhm Architects in Cologne.
