Gir-Namme

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gir-Namme was a king of Elam who lived around 2035 BC. Ruled. He appears in a list of kings on a clay tablet from Susa . There he is the first ruler of the Shimashki dynasty. From other sources it is known that in the 6th year of King Su-Sin he sent an envoy to Ur to bring a daughter of the ruler to Anschan , who was supposed to marry the ruler there, perhaps Gir-Namme himself.
