Girolamo dai Libri
Girolamo dai Libri (* 1474 or 1475 in Verona ; † July 2, 1555 ) was an Italian illustrator of manuscripts (miniaturist) and painter of altarpieces . His works belong to the early Renaissance .
He mainly worked in his hometown of Verona. His father was Francesco dai Libri , who was so called because he illustrated books. As an art historian and biographer, Giorgio Vasari described Girolamos pictures. Girolamo was a student of Domenico Morone . Dai Libri drew his first altarpiece, Jesus' Descent from the Cross, for the Church of Santa Maria in Organo in Verona at the age of sixteen.
