Gironico
Gironico is a place in the municipality of Colverde and until 2014 was an independent municipality in the Italian province of Como in the Lombardy region . Gironico is close to the Swiss border . Local saints are Saints Nazario and Celso .
Gironico merged on February 14, 2014 with the municipalities of Drezzo and Parè to form the new municipality of Colverde . On December 31, 2013, the municipality had 2219 inhabitants on an area of 4.5 km². The municipality belonging fractions Gironico al Monte and Salvadonica. Neighboring communities were Cavallasca , Lurate Caccivio , Montano Lucino , Olgiate Comasco , Parè, Villa Guardia .
