Gisela Drossbach

Gisela Drossbach is a German historian .

Life

She studied history, art history and Italian studies in Konstanz , Florence , Rome and Munich . After receiving her doctorate in medieval history in Munich in 1993 and her habilitation in medieval history in Dresden in 2002 , she is a private lecturer at the TU Dresden . Since 2000 she has been a research assistant at the Leopold Wenger Institute for Legal History at LMU Munich .

Her main research interests are medieval legal manuscripts, medieval church law, text-image relationships, hospital history and the history of religious institutions, aristocracy in Bavaria, European regional history as well as Bavarian and Swabian regional history.
