Gisela Wilbertz

Gisela Wilbertz (* 1945 ) is a historian who deals with regional history , criminal law in the Middle Ages and the persecution of witches .

She wrote her dissertation in 1979 on executioners and knackers in northwest Germany. Since 1991 she has been the director of the Lemgo City Archives and has continued the scientific processing of the holdings, in particular the Lemgo witch trials. In August 2005 she retired.
