Giuseppe Zonca
Giuseppe Zonca (* 1715 in Brescia ; † January 4, 1772 in Munich ) was an Italian opera singer (bass) and composer who was mainly active in Bavaria.
Life
Zonca, the older brother of bassist Giovanni Battista Zonca (1728–1809), first studied philosophy and theology . It was only after he was ordained a priest that he began to study music.

His starting salary was 925 guilders per year, but was reduced to 475 guilders in 1765 “because of the poor state of the state treasury”.
