Givʿat Seev ( Hebrew גבעת זאב; also transcribed by Givat Zeev ; German: Hügel Seevs or Wolfshügel ) is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank , in which 16,865 Jewish settlers live (as of 2016). It is located five kilometers northwest of Jerusalem . The Israeli settlement was founded in 1977 near the ancient city of Gibeon and named after the Russian Zionist and writer Vladimir Zeev Jabotinsky (זאב ולדימיר ז'בוטינסקי). Since 1983 it has been the seat of the communal administration of the same name (מועצה מקומית גבעת זאב).
