The Gjerdefossen is a waterfall in the Geiranger fjord in the Norwegian municipality of Stranda in the province of Møre og Romsdal .

It is located on the north side of the fjord about 3.5 kilometers northwest of Geiranger . The Adlerstraße runs about 600 meters east of Gjerdefossen . The waterfall is formed by the Kviturelva mountain stream , which after a short course falls into the fjord in two streams from a height of between 415 and 245 meters, just west of the small bay Hyskjevika .
