Glow bowl

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An annealing bowl is a bowl used in chemical laboratories that is used for a variety of purposes. A glow bowl is usually made of hard porcelain . Shapes exist in hemispherical shape or in flat and round shape with a circumferential upstand.

In analytical chemistry, glow bowls are used as reaction vessels or coasters .

Crucible with crucible shoe

The flat design is also used as a crucible shoe in which crucibles are placed. Crucible shoes prevent the furnaces from getting dirty if the crucible overflows or breaks.

Filter crucible coasters (synonymous with frit shoes ) are coasters used in chemical laboratories for filter crucibles with a frit , have a similar structure to the crucible shoe and are used in the same way. They are usually turned up round and all around with low walls and have an inner diameter that is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the filter crucible.
