Glacis (Ingolstadt)
The Glacis is an approximately 100 hectare green belt around the old town of the Bavarian city of Ingolstadt , which originally belonged to the state fortress . In the 19th century it was created as a free field of fire. Today it consists of forest and meadow areas and is used as a park. Extensive footpaths and bike paths as well as several playgrounds and beer gardens are available to visitors. The Schutter flows here through the so-called Künettegraben and finally flows into the Danube . There are also several art objects in the Glacis. The ring road runs along the glacis.
