Gladys Chai from the Laage
Gladys Chai von der Laage , née Ng Mei Chai (born February 22, 1953 in Malaysia ) is a photographer and former Malaysian athlete.
She took part in the pentathlon at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. At the Asian Championships in 1973 , she won the silver medal in Manila in the high jump . In the 1970s she emigrated to Germany and married the journalist Rolf von der Laage . She learned the photography trade at the Kölnische Rundschau and set up an agency with her husband in Cologne. As a sports photographer , Chai von der Laage regularly works at highlights such as championships and the Olympic Games.
