The Þórisstaðavatn (also Glammastaðavatn ) is a lake in Iceland . It is located in the municipality of Hvalfjarðarsveit in the Vesturland region in the west of the country.
geography
Southeast of the mountain Skarðsheiði lie in Svínadalur the three interconnected lakes Eyrarvatn , Þórisstaðavatn and Geitabergsvatn . The middle lake Þórisstaðavatn has an area of about 1.37 km². Its greatest depth is around 24 m and it is around 71 m above sea level.
The Þórisstaðavatn and the Geitabergsvatn are connected by the Þverá river , and the small river Selós flows between the Þórisstaðavatn and the Eyrarvatn . South of the Þórisstaðavatn is the eponymous place Þórisstaðir and the mountain Þúfufjall .
