The Glasmuseum Bad Driburg is a municipal museum on the subject of glass in Bad Driburg (Germany). The glass museum is located in the "Heinz Koch House" in downtown Driburg. The three Driburg-based companies Walther Glas (in the Siebenstern district ), glaskoch and Ritzenhoff & Breker (both in Herste ) are key sponsors of the Glass Museum .

building

The former residential building, which was built by the city around 1900 and inaugurated in 1907, served as the chaplain of the parish church of St. Peter and Paul and as the residence of the Driburg vicar until after the Second World War . In the 1990s the building was renovated and since 2006 - after a few years of interruption and relocation of the museum - it has once again housed the Driburg Glass Museum. The brick building with half-timbered gables bears the name of the glass wholesaler (company "glaskoch", Leonardo ), who died in 1989 , an honorary citizen of the city and an important sponsor of the museum, Heinz Koch.

The third focus is on the connections with the Driburg springs and the therapeutic bath , presented in the form of water bottles, drinking glasses , medical and pharmaceutical glass appliances.
