history
The association was founded on March 11, 1900 in Altenbeken . It initially consisted of 7 founding departments. The medical councilor Leopold Lünnemann became chairman. One of the goals was to "raise and facilitate tourism in the Egge Mountains, in particular by creating signposts, benches, footpaths, viewpoints, shelters, sources from sources" and similar aids as well as knowledge of the Egge Mountains "in historical, geographical and scientific relationship ” . One joined the Association of German Tourist Associations .
Under the initiative of Fricke, the Eggeweg from Velmerstot to Bonenburg was designed and access rights were negotiated with the forest owners. Fricke edited the "Tourist Map of the Egge Mountains" on a scale of 1: 75,000, which appeared in 1902.
