Gleiszellen , with around 450 inhabitants, is the larger district of the dual community of Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach in the southern Weinstrasse district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The place is in the northern municipality on the eastern edge of the Wasgau , as the southern part of the Palatinate Forest and the adjoining northern part of the Vosges are called. The settlement area is almost completely surrounded by vineyards; accordingly, viticulture is the main livelihood of the place.
