Glen ( South Sami Klïere or Glijre ) is a small settlement of four to five Samí families in southern Oviksfjäll (Oviken Mountains) in Jämtland , Sweden . The village is at the western end of the Arådalen valley .

The surrounding mountains and taiga spruce forests serve the Samí as reindeer grazing land. Therefore the area around Glen is a designated no- snow zone for snowmobiles . In the northern end of the valley there is a so-called reindeer divide where the Samí herd their reindeer and divide them into individual herds depending on the owner. Animals are also slaughtered on the spot here in autumn, as the sale of reindeer meat is one of the sources of income for the Sami residents. So it is not uncommon to encounter reindeer while hiking.

Glen was only connected to the road network in 1964/65.

The mountain lake Glensjö borders north of the Samísiedlung. This is about 4 km long and in some places 40–50 m deep. Glensjö is known for its rich trout population. Specimens weighing 3–5 kg are not uncommon, the record is over 9 kg. The lake can be reached from Glen on an easy 4 km hike. The path is lined with old squares and cottages that were inhabited by the Samí long ago before they built their homes in Glen. Old trapping pits can also be discovered in the area.
