Glen Fisher

Glen Fisher (* around 1965 in San Diego / California ) is an American jazz bassist .

Fisher studied music at the University of California, San Diego and the Vienna Music Academy . He worked as a bass player and band leader in Europe, Latin America and the USA. As a bass player he performed a. a. up with Graham Nash , Eartha Kitt , Nel Carter , Jay McShann , James Moody , Red Holloway , Charles McPherson , Bobby Shew , Jackie King , Jason Scheff , Mato Grosso , Hannibal Means , Steve Lacy , Sigi Finkel and Alegre Corrêa.

He leads his own trio, the group Con Alma and the Gomango Invasion Orchestra and has so far recorded three albums as a band leader. In 1993 and 1994 he received a San Diego Music Award , and in 2005 he was nominated for a Grammy with singer Chris Bennett .
