Glenaden , or rarely Glenadon , was a whiskey distillery at Old Deer , Aberdeenshire , Scotland .
history
The distillery was founded by Milne & Co. outside the village of Old Deer in 1845 . The founders already owned a nearby brewery called Biffie at that time . In the 1880s, both the distillery and brewery were bought by Geo J. Wilson & Co. who ran them until 1896. It then became the property of T. Yelton Ogilvie , who closed it in 1915.
In the mid-1880s, about 12,000 gallons of alcohol were distilled for sale as malt whiskey . The buildings are now called Biffie Farm and are used for agriculture. The building next to the former tax officer for alcohol has also been preserved and is used as a residential building.
