Glenna Weber (* in Illertissen ) is a German actress and singer.

Life

In 2009 Glenna Weber took 2nd place in the state competition of Jugend musiziert . As a result, she studied singing and acting at the Vienna Conservatory (now MUK private university ).

During her studies at the Conservatory , she played Venus in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld  and was  seen in the constantly tipsy title role in  The Drowsy Chaperone . The following year she played the dancer Mimi in  Die Landstreicher . In 2012 she was seen in the concert version of Phantom of the Opera at the Ronacher , played the female lead in Enns in Jonathan Larson's off-Broadway autobiography Tick, Tick… ​​BOOM!  and was a finalist in the Walter Jurmann competition. In 2015 she was in the course of her first self-production as Sonja Walsk in the Theater Center Forum in the two-person comedy musical  They play our song  by Neil Simon and Marvin Hamlisch . In 2015 she played Dulcy in Woody Allen's  Midsummer Night 's sex comedy in the Rosenburg summer night comedy, directed by Marcus Ganser . Her first English-speaking role was Baker's Wife in Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods  at Vienna's English Theater . In 2016 she played Sugar at the Thunerseespiele in the stage version of the classic film Some Like It Hot . At the Theater zum Fürchten Wien she played in the Shakespeare collage  Lovers & Fools , Marianne in Tartuffe and the granddaughter in "The Power of Habit". In 2017 in Austria, Weber played the charming Jill Thanner in the tour production "Butterflies are free", directed by Sam Madwar . For the 30th anniversary of the Amstetten musical summer, she played Janet in the "Rocky Horror Show".

She is currently the Maulende Myrte / Lily Potter in the German premiere of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" in Hamburg.

Weber lives in Vienna with her husband, the set designer Sam Madwar .
