Glennafallia Cairn
The Glennafallia Cairn is a cairn on the summit of the 720 m high Knocknafallia ( Irish Cnoc na Faille , "hill of the cliff"), which is part of the Knockmealdown Mountains , about eight kilometers from Cappoquin in the townland Glennafallia (Irish Gleann na Faille , " Valley of the Cliff ”) in County Waterford in the province of Munster , near the border with County Tipperary in Ireland .
The prehistoric cairn has a diameter of about 12.0 m and a height of up to 1.2 m, with a crater in the center. Its characteristic are ten preserved curb stones around the circumference, some of which are arranged radially. On the southeast side there is a stone box about one meter wide . On the northwest side there is an inclined stone one meter high. The cairn comes from the transition to the Bronze Age .
