Globus Airlines is a Russian airline based in Novosibirsk and based at Novosibirsk-Tolmachevo Airport .

history

The airline was founded in the spring of 2008 by S7 Airlines , a large Russian airline based in Novosibirsk for charter flights . Globus Airlines began flight operations shortly afterwards with a Tupolev Tu-154M , which had previously been in service with the parent company. Further Tupolev Tu-154M aircraft and the first Boeing 737-400 were transferred from S7 Airlines to Globus Airlines in the further course of the first year of operation. In addition, machines of the type Boeing 737-800 of the insolvent US airline ATA Airlines followed .

In December 2008, less than a year after it was founded, Globus was sold to the East Line Group by its parent company S7 Airlines . However, the Globus Airlines fleet still bears the distinctive and only slightly modified paintwork of S7 Airlines.

Destinations

Today tourist destinations abroad as well as domestic routes are served in charter and scheduled traffic, whereby the main focus today is on scheduled and no longer on pure charter flights.
