Gloria Adriana Yorgelis Cuesta Martinez Gustamante
Gloria Adriana Yorgelis Cuesta Martinez Gustamante (born June 18, 1965 in Río Chico ) has been the President of the Venezuelan Boxing Association (ABV) since 2014. She herself was an active boxer between 1981 and 1993 . She won the Venezuelan heavyweight boxing championships three times . Despite the national successes, she never made her breakthrough on the international stage.
Since the end of her career in 1993, she has been running a boxing stable in the Venezuelan capital Caracas . She is considered to be the discoverer of the Venezuelan boxer Miguel Acosta . At the Venezuelan junior boxing championships in 1994, in which Acosta took third place, Gustamante discovered his talent and took him under her wing.
