Glory of Love is a song by Peter Cetera from the year 1986 , that from him, David Foster was written and Diana Nini. It is also the soundtrack to the film Karate Kid II - Decision in Okinawa .

history

Originally the song was intended as a soundtrack for the movie Rocky IV - The Fight of the Century , but it never happened. So the ballad remained as the soundtrack for Karate Kid 2. The song is also included in Cetera's debut album Solitude / Solitaire , but in a different version.

Glory of Love was released worldwide on June 6, 1986. The song became a number one hit in the United States , Canada and Sweden .

In 1987 the song was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Song category , but lost to Berlin's Take My Breath Away . At the same time the song also received a nomination for the Grammy Awards 1987 in the category male best vocal performance - Pop and lost there too, but against Steve Winwood's Higher Love .
