Glushko is an impact crater on the westernmost edge of the front of the moon , so if at all it is only visible from Earth in a strongly distorted manner. It lies on the western edge of the Oceanus Procellarum , northwest of the Olbers crater , the wall of which it partially covers.

Glushko is a young crater and the center of an extensive radiation system that extends far into the plain of Oceanus Procellarum to the northeast. Although the extent of the radiation system corresponds to that of the large radiation craters, it is hardly noticeable due to its location at the edge and is only recognizable when viewed from above an orbiter . The crater rim is irregularly shaped, the inner wall shows traces of landslides.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1994 after the Russian aerospace engineer Valentin Petrovich Gluschko . Previously, the crater was as Olbers A designated.
