Go! Go! Ackman ( Japanese ゴ ー ゴ ー ア ッ ク マ ン ) is a manga by Akira Toriyama from 1993. It was also translated into German and adapted as an anime and in video games.

action

The manga is about the demon boy Ackman, who was awakened from a 50-year slumber on his 200th birthday in order to start collecting human souls. When looking for people who bring the most "LifePoints", he meets an angel boy who Ackman knows from before. The angel immediately tries to kill the demon, bringing out heavier and heavier guns, but he never succeeds in eliminating Ackman and kills many innocent people in his attempts. Ackman collects the souls of the victims killed by the angel and thus earns a golden nose from the head demon.

Manga

Akira Toriyama's manga, who was also working on Dragonball , first appeared in 1993 in the manga magazine V Jump and consists of eleven chapters that were combined with other Toriyama's other short stories into a paperback. This anthology will be published for the first time in German by Carlsen Verlag on May 27, 2014 under the name Toriyama Short Stories - Go! Go! Ackman and other stories .

Anime

A short film about the story was made in 1994, directed by Takahiro Imamura . In the production of Toei Animation , Takao Koyama wrote the script and Kozo Morishita was the producer. The artistic direction lay with Ryūji Yoshiike .

The 15 minute long film was first shown on V-Jump Festa in 1994 and later released on video by Shueisha.
