The Gończy Polski is a breed of dogs from Poland recognized by the FCI ( FCI Group 6, Section 1.2, Standard No. 354 ).

The Gończy Polski, like its cousin the Ogar Polski, belongs to the hounds or bracken . In terms of shape, it is smaller and lighter at up to 59 cm. The fur is short and close-fitting, in many colors from black with burn to reddish brown. The head has a distinct stop. The ears set at the level of the eyes are medium to large in size with rounded tips. The tail reaches slightly above the ankle and is carried in a saber-shaped manner horizontally above the back line when excited.
