Go was a band founded by Stomu Yamashta (percussion and synthesizer). Due to the numerous well-known members, u. a. Steve Winwood (vocals and keyboards), Al Di Meola (guitar), Klaus Schulze (synthesizer), Pat Thrall (guitar) or Michael Shrieve (drums), also considered a super group .

The band released only three albums, Go (1976), Go Too (1977) and Live from Paris (recorded June 12, 1976). The commercial success was relatively modest, but live recording in particular is considered a milestone in fusion jazz in the 1970s. The success is partly due to the inspired playing style of the individual band members.
