Godeke Burmeister († 1459 in Lübeck ) was a merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

As a merchant, Godeke Burmeister was a member of the Lübeck Mountain Driver Corporation . He was elected to the Lübeck Council in 1455. In 1455 he took part in the Lübeck embassy to Flensburg , where the Lübeckers negotiated under the leadership of Mayor Johann Lüneburg with King Christian I of Denmark and the Danish knighthood about the privileges of the Hanseatic League in trade with Denmark and Norway . After this negotiation, he accompanied the Danish king on his homeward journey, and then traveled on to Bergen to the office on Bryggen .
