The Goetheweg is a themed hiking trail through the Trattenbachtal in Pinzgau ( State of Salzburg , Austria ) with stops on Goethe's color theory .

course

The hiking trail in the Trattenbachtal between Wald im Pinzgau and Neukirchen am Großvenediger is suitable for children and parents. The path begins at Gasthof Rechtegg, from where hikers can enjoy the panorama of the mighty mountains of the Hohe Tauern. It then follows the Ziehweg and changes at the beginning of the valley ( ) to the western side of the Trattenbach. It is possible to hike to the Trattenbachalm or further to the protected part of the landscape “Hinteres Filzenschartenmoos” . The Goetheweg with a length of a good 6 km is classified as an easy hike.

Stations

At the seven stations on the Goetheweg, the children deal with the “metamorphosis of the plant” and with “Goethe's theory of colors”. In addition, the path includes stations that also deal with the geology, the cultural landscape and the various alpine habitats. The boards of the nature trail were designed by the artist Christian Hitsch.

The titles of the stations are:

  • The geological structure - the basis of the landscape and a haven of great treasures
  • The fish pass - Maintain the stream as a continuous lifeline
  • The power house - artistic expression of the energy generation process
  • Cultural landscape - rape of nature or harmonious coexistence
  • Hinteres Filzenschartenmoos - A natural gem in Oberpinzgau
  • Barren moor - the art of survival and simple beauty
  • Construction and energy supply - a special challenge in the mountains
