Gohar Shabhaz gained his first international experience in 2014 at the Junior Asian Championships in Taipei , where he was eliminated in the first round over 100 meters with 11.08 s, as well as in the 200-meter run with 22.66 s. Two years later he again took part in the Junior Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City , but did not make it to the semi-finals there either and also lost the Pakistani 4 x 100 meter relay at 42, 44 s in advance. In 2017 he reached the semifinals of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku in both individual competitions, where he was eliminated with 10.93 s and 21.76 s and was also disqualified with the relay in the run-up. At the beginning of September he took part in the 60-meter run at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat and reached the semi-finals there, where he was eliminated with 7.04 seconds. The following year he retired at the Asian Games in Jakarta in the 100-meter run with 10.80 s in the semi-finals and retired over 200 meters and with the relay with 21.91 s and 40.56 s in the preliminary round. In 2019 he won the bronze medal at the South Asian Games in Kathmandu in 40.50 s with the relay behind the teams from Sri Lanka and India and was fourth over 200 meters in 21.54 s.
In 2017, Shabhaz became the Pakistani champion in the 100 and 200 meter run and in the 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2018 he was able to repeat his victory with the relay.
