Hannah Readers (born April 23, 1995 ) is a German musical actress . She became known to the public through her role as Mary Poppins in the musical of the same name in Stuttgart and Hamburg .

Live and act

Reader grew up with two sisters in Hessen . The family moved to the United States because of their work, and also did an international high school diploma there. During her stay abroad, she spent a year as an exchange student in Argentina . At the age of 13 she received classical singing lessons. During her high school days she played theater and musicals.

At the age of 18 she returned to Hamburg and completed her training as a stage actress at the Stage School Hamburg , which she graduated with honors in 2017. She appeared as a guest actress at the school's theater, the First Stage Theater Hamburg . There she was seen as "Velma Kelly" in Chicago and in the 2019 anniversary gala. After completing her training, she took on the title role in the musical Mary Poppins as an alternating cast .

In 2018 she went on a European tour as "Alex Owens" with the musical Flashdance , in which Sasha die Capri , Ann-Sophie Dürmeyer and Gitte Haenning also participated. She can currently be seen at the Braunschweig State Theater in Chicago .
