history

The refinery began operations in 1913 under the Associated Oil Company . From 1937 to 1966 it became the Tidewater Associated Oil Company . 1966 to 1976 the company was run under Phillips Petroleum . From 1976 to 2000 the refinery was owned by Tosco . Diamond Shamrock was the owner from 2000 to 2002. After Valero took over Diamond Shamrock in 2002, she briefly operated the refinery. In the same year the refinery was sold to Tesoro .

Tesoro later changed its name to Andeavor. With the takeover of Andeavor by Marathon Petroleum , the refinery came into the possession of Marathon Petroleum in 2018.
