The gold bowls from Axtroki ( Spanish : Cuencos de Axtroki ) date from the late Bronze Age and are around 1200–800 BC. Dated. Originally interpreted as bowls, today people tend to assume ritual headgear.

The smaller bowl (left in the picture), with the cross on the apex, has a height of 10 cm with a diameter of 19.5 cm. The larger bowl has a height of 11 cm and a diameter of 21 cm. The type of decoration is very similar to the golden hats of the Schifferstadt type found in Central Europe from the Bronze Age . The concentric circles are interpreted as sun symbols.

They were found in 1973 in a place called Axtroki, which is part of the Eskoriatza municipality , in the Guipuzcoa province , Basque Country , Spain . Today it can be seen in the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid .
