The Gulf of Guacanayabo is a bay in the southeast of Cuba . The province of Camagüey , which is detached from the coastline of the province of Las Tunas , borders on it on the far northern edge . Most of the central section and the south bank of the gulf is occupied by the province of Granma .

The largest city and the most important port is Manzanillo in the province of Granma .
