Gomma (music label)

Gomma Records is a Munich independent record label , founded in 1999 by Jonas Imbery and Mathias Modica . In 2016, operations were stopped for the time being. It released electronic music worldwide.

Gomma is internationally recognized as one of the most important German labels for new disco experiments and the mixing of styles. The label works a lot with visual artists, video makers and graphic designers.

In addition to many albums and remix releases, the musical repertoire of Gomma Records also includes many compilations such as Anti NY, Teutonik Disaster, 100% Gomma.

Since 2013 Gomma has also been running the Toy Tonics sub-label for new funk-oriented house music.

In addition to the artists who started their careers at Gomma (WhoMadeWho, Munk, Headman, Moullinex, etc.), many internationally renowned artists have also published side projects on Gomma: James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Peaches, Nick McCarthy (Franz Ferdinand), Daniel Avery (Phantasy), The Rammellzee u. a.
