Gomselmash ( Russian Гомсельмаш ) is one of the largest harvesting machine manufacturers in Belarus, based in Gomel .

history

Gomselmash was founded in 1930 to produce harvesting machines for agriculture. Production of trailed forage harvesters began in 1966, and eleven years later, the KSK-100 was also the first self-propelled forage harvesters to be produced. The production of self-propelled forage harvesters was so successful that Gomselmash became the world market leader in 1984. In 2009 Gomselmash opened an assembly plant in China as part of a joint venture with a Chinese company . A year later, a joint venture for the production of combine harvesters was founded in Kazakhstan , followed by a second joint venture in China in 2015. In 2017, Gomselmash presented the prototype of the world's first gas-powered combine.

Products

Gomselmash is the leading supplier of combine harvesters in Belarus. In Russia , Gomselmash had a market share of 28% in 2016 with 1,750 combine harvesters sold.
