The Gongbaixia dam (also: Gongboxia) is a dam with a hydroelectric power station on the Huang He (Yellow River) in the north of the People's Republic of China.

The five turbines of the hydropower plant each have a nominal output of 300 megawatts. This can generate 5.14 billion kWh per year .

For the structure, a stone embankment dam with concrete cover ( CFRD ), there are the heights of 127, 132 and 139 m according to various sources.

Construction work

Construction began in July 2000 with the diversion of the river and in 2001 the excavation pit was dug. The dam was filled in from August 2002 to October 2003. The concrete slabs were made between March 2004 and June 2004. In August 2004, the reservoir began to be filled and in 2006 the construction work was completed.
