Googie René
Googie Rene , real name Rafael Leon René (* 30th March 1927 in Los Angeles , † 25. November 2007 ) was an American pianist , songwriter and music producer , who from 1957 to 1961 some recordings with his band for the class label of his Father Leon René made.
His best-known works include the instrumentals Scumbo and Beautiful Weekend . He released the album Googie Rene Presents Romesville as a solo artist in 1959 and several singles with his Googie René Combo in the late 1950s and early 1960s . In 2004 the compilation Wham Bam! The Best of the Googie Rene Combo .
