Google Duo is a free voice and video telephony - service for the Internet browser and the app for the operating systems Android and iOS . All calls are protected by end-to-end encryption.
In May 2016, the application was presented at the Google I / O developer conference, made available on August 16, 2016 in the USA and shortly afterwards worldwide. It enables a user without a Google user account to communicate with other users via telephone number. An app is provided for Apple and Android devices. On other operating systems, Google Duo can be used via the browser.
